Cynthia Uribe, Administrative AssistantCynthia is one of two new staff members hired in 2004.  She is also originally from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico where she experienced the realities of poverty and the effects of NAFTA.  Her duties include translation, routine clerical tasks, correspondence, updating data bases, coordinating travel arrangements and organizing meetings, workshops and delegations to the border.  

Alonzo Ugarte, Financial Administrator Alonzo is the second new staff member hired in 2004.  He is originally from the border town of Laredo, Texas where he grew up.  He came to CJM with a clear understanding and commitment to social justice based on his personal experience growing up and the realities he saw in Mexico where most of his family is from.  He has extensive experience in bookkeeping and finances and he is currently in charge of CJM’s finances.  He also has extensive computer experience and updates CJM ’s website on a regular basis.  In addition to working at CJM, he is also attending college for a degree in Computer Network Systems.
